Seattle's diverse food truck scene just keeps on growing, and since we last surveyed the city's mobile eats and drinks for weddings and celebrations, a bunch of new meals-on-wheels have sprung up around town ready to satisfy your cravings and serve up your partygoers curbside. We talked to three of these newcomers to see what they offer; contact the trucks directly for more info about special event catering.
Two best friends started this food truck in February which sells an eclectic take on Northwest comfort food with seasonal and local ingredients. Find them at wineries and breweries around Seattle selling anything from chipotle pork tacos, pork belly bao, and chocolate chip bread pudding with whiskey syrup.
This husband and wife team have been slinging their “Southwest fusion” food at the Des Moines Farmers Market since 2014. Now that their food has gone mobile, it’s even easier for people to get their fix of smoky meatloaf sandwiches, chili, and chalupas. Not feeling particularly peckish? Nibbles offers more petite servings of their menu items too, like single tacos. (Gluten free and vegan options available)
Two sisters with a background in the restaurant industry now sell pretzel sandwiches from their swirly yellow and white refurbished vintage trailer. The menu is small, but the effort put into making their own pretzel buns (French toast battered sea salt, anyone?) and fillings such as pulled pork, roast beef, and homemade veggie patties ensure that any choice you make will be a delicious one.
