Marijuana in a bridal bouquet? Only in the Pacific Northwest. With a cannabis shop on what seems like every street corner, and even Grubhub-style delivery of late-night ganja, it was perhaps only a matter of time until the merry little weed made its married appearance. How best to incorporate it into your wedding day decor? Carlee Donnelly of Seattle-based Rusted Vase Floral Co. says marijuana foliage is a great option for adding both color and curiosity to your bridal bouquet. Here’s she weaves the multi-leaved stems throughout a mix of poppies, ranunculus, bleeding hearts, poppy pods, Queen Anne's lace, and Ornithogalum, into a variety of wedding-day arrangements. For her, incorporating marijuana foliage is an obvious—and very Pacific Northwest—choice. “Marijuana foliage is such a beautiful green, with great texture,” she says, “and it has a wonderful vase life, so it holds up well in both bouquets and arrangements.” And yes, you can inhale.
