Not Pinterest- perfect, no electric slide, and no bouquet toss. When it was time for Alyssa and Rob to plan their wedding, their mutual desire for simple authenticity is what drove them. Crafting their vision was a slow process, but a long engagement gave them time to get all the details just right for their Coopers Hall affair. From a custom-blended wine to custom stationery to their event rentals company purchasing flatware specifically tailored to the couple’s tastes, all the tiny details for Alyssa and Rob’s wedding came together for a day that was truly unique.

The big weekend began with a wine-soaked rehearsal dinner at Ned Ludd that was almost too good—when the big day rolled around, Alyssa and Rob found themselves fending off hangovers. But with the excitement of having so many friends and family in town from around the country for their wedding—“it felt like our birthday and Christmas all in one day”—provided just the boost they needed. A last-minute dress change, as well as a last-minute decision to do their “first look” in a neighbor’s garden made for a bit of a chaotic morning, but by the time they got to their ceremony, the stars were aligned. Encouragement from their officiant led them to include the “Seven Blessings” in their ceremony, a moment that ended up being one of their favorites of the night; “When we heard the seven well wishes recited to us by our family, we were completely overcome.”
